“I’m not worried about the vehicle,” Larry Burgoon said. “I’m worried about getting Miles back. The car, the contents of the car, they’re replaceable. Miles is not.”
Unleash Brooklyn is closing due to a rent increase its owner cannot afford. Three rescued dogs who live there are now in need of foster or forever homes.
Two dogs rescued from a garbage container were taken to Wichita Animal Shelter. The pets were dehydrated and under weight, but with some TLC they are expected to make a full recovery.
“Many times, the black cats with no markings, much like the black dogs, appear to be a little bit plain, even though they're bursting with personality, so we have to accentuate that.”
“I thought I was about to lose the love of my life (my puppy) and seriously mangled my hand in the process... You can't see my face but I've never been so hysterical in my life.”
Since being attacked by a dog, a 17-year-old girl stopped going out all to avoid any dog encounters. Thanks to two police dogs, the girl has now overcome her fears and once again enjoys the company of pets.
