“Nobody wants to take a dog that you don’t know what kind of life they’ve had,” Mariesa said. “He’s had a terrible life! He’s not been loved or taken care of as much as he deserves to be, and he’s still a wonderful, loving companion.”
“My wife was in tears, as she left him, saying, ‘I am sorry, I am sorry,’” the husband said. “He’s being well taken care of and, boy, we’re just so extremely grateful.”
Just two weeks a puppy named Hunter was rescued from the Michigan Humane Society he returned the favor for his new family. The 3-month-old puppy alerted his new family to a gas leak in the middle of the night.
Dallas McGarrigle and Shawn Kemple were driving on Route 9 in New Jersey when they spotted an injured pit bull along the side of the road. They thought it had been hit by a car, but the dog had actually been shot in the face
“When the dog came in he looked terrible. We didn’t know if he would survive... He is such a lovely dog and hopefully now he can be found a loving home.”
