Injured Dog Rescued from Pothole Makes Miraculous Recovery

On December 15, 2014, two women from Muskegon, Mich., were driving down 8th Street when they spotted a small animal laying in the middle of the road inside a pothole. The women circled around the block and rescued the pet who had been injured.

Beaten Dog Survives Spending Night in Trash Can

On Christmas Eve, Pillo a dog from Córdoba, Spain, was abandoned inside a trash container. His previous and unknown owner wanted nothing more with this dog. The pet was matted, beaten and starved. Whoever had him decided that Christmas Eve was the perfect night to toss the dog in a garbage bin and leave him there to die. Fortunately, the dog was discovered and saved.

Deceased Homeless Man’s Dog Continues to Look for Dead Owner

Gato (Spanish for Cat) belonged to Benjamín González Sánchez, a homeless man from Guadalajata, Jasisco, Mexico, who unfortunately died two weeks ago of hypothermia. The dog and his owner used to sleep outside one of the entrances to Jalisco Stadium, but since the passing of González Sánchez, the dog simply roams the streets alone without anyone to look over him, get him food, or protect him from the cold.

Dog Rescued After Spending 15 Days Trapped in Cave

A dog from Mexico City fell 49 feet into a cave located in the Chapultepec Forest and spent 15 days trapped in the void. Fortunately, after various attempts, animal rescuers were able to locate and pull the dog to safety.

Bonded Senior Dogs Need a Home by Monday

 

Senior dogs Wilma and Homer, along with about 50 other dogs, need to find homes by Monday or else they will all be euthanized.  Even if they are taken in by rescues or foster families, they all need somewhere to go to make room for the dozens of animals brought into the Mercer County Animal Shelter in West Virginia every day.  PLEASE SHARE.
