“She said that the fire department wasn't really wanting to do much about it, didn't want to endanger themselves,” Ciro Silvestri explained. “So if they're not going to do something, I will.”
Griffin Walker always had a small bit of hope that his missing dog Daphne would be found. Now three years after she went missing that hope has come true.
Lieutenant Rick Trudeau of the Fairfax County Fire & Rescue helped save several dogs from a fire on Monday. Now the dog loving firefighter is helping to raise money to pay for the dogs' medical care.
“I had to take my gloves off, and I started not feeling my hands when I tried to grab the dog” Wesley said. “ My hands and arms were extremely cold. The dog was freaking out.”
“I strongly believe that shelter dogs are the best dogs,” said Hope's mom, Martie. “She is so grateful for her life and we've never had to question making the decision of adopting her.”
Tim Mullen is thankful to be alive and he is giving all the credit to his Golden Retriever Garth. When Mullen had a seizure and stopped breathing Garth, who is specially trained, called for help.
