When Dori was rescued, she was just a lump of dirty hair. Rescuers weren’t sure if she was alive because the lump of hair they found on the floor wouldn’t move. She weighed 11 pounds, after the matted hair was shaved off she weighed 7 pounds. Here is her amazing rescue and transformation.

In case you have been living under a rock for the past several years, you know that three dimensional printing is all the rage.  There’s even a very compelling documentary on Netflix called “Print the Future.”  People have begun to use this new technology for some very worthy causes, and just recently, it was used to give a dog with no use of its front legs its mobility back, and a new “leash” on life.

A stray dog from El Higueron, Spain, is lucky to be alive today after it got hit by a car. What saved the pet’s life was getting stuck in the car’s front bumper after the accident.

The man behind the wheel said he was surprised when the stray dog jumped in front of his car. Moreover, the driver was saddened when he couldn’t stop the vehicle in time to avoid hitting the pet.

We all know that the holiday season can be economically straining on all of us. Some of us might opt to spend less or smarter in order to avoid maxing out credit cards or running out of cash. Other people, like the international passenger in the video below, opted to smuggle drugs to make some extra cash. Yet, this man’s “fool-proof” plan came crashing down when Pipo, a playful eight-year-old certified narcotics dog from Spain’s El-Prat Airport pointed out what the smuggler was up to.

Paco, a community dog from Lima, Peru, spends his days protecting a few blocks of his neighborhood. He is loved and fed by local residents and no one ever expected this loyal pet to get abused, let alone, that his abuser would be a volunteer firefighter.

Wendell McClure is a resident of Bakersfield, California and an avid fisherman.  This past Thursday was like any other for him at the start, even if it was a bit rainy out that morning.  What was supposed to be a day of fishing, turned out to be a harrowing day of dog rescue, and now he’s considered a bit of a local hero.
