Canine Fire Survivors Continue to Wait for Homes

Back in April we told you about a massive fire that destroyed 2,900 homes in Valparaiso, Chile. While the fire left many humans homeless it also affected many house pets and stray dogs. Out of the devastation came hope, when a group of concerned animal lovers organized an emergency shelter area to treat and care for the many dogs that lost their homes and owners, but until today, many of those pets are still waiting to be reunited with their original owners, or adopted into new loving homes.

“After months of proper care, most of these animals are ready to find a new home,” said Romina Raglianti, who has worked and helped care for the rescued dogs. “[The pets] have gone through a lot, and they deserve the love and support of a good family.”
