Two dogs, Pearl and Raleigh, were spotted on a Dallas highway after they got lost in an ice storm. Pearl has been reunited with her owner, but the search for Raleigh is still on.
Stella was hiking with her owner and a friend on Monday when she fell over 60 feet down a cliff and became stuck on a ledge. After two days on the ledge Stella was finally rescued by volunteers.
Jefferson Fox was driving along Jackson Boulevard in Jackson, Missouri when he spotted a dog and pulled over to help. Fox soon realized though that the dog wasn’t the one needing help as the dog led Fox back home where the dog’s elderly owner had fallen in her garage.
A survey conducted amongst delegates at a Royal Veterinary College conference on the welfare of dogs bred particularly for their “flat-faced” features found that one-fifth of veterinarians believe these breeds should be banned completely.
“I wanted to take a dog that didn’t have a shot, that I know physiologically can do the work. It’s just a matter of motivation,” said officer Matt Zarrella.
Several months ago paramedics in Calgary, Alberta came to the rescue of an abused and abandoned puppy named Rufus. Now fully recovered Rufus is going home with the paramedic that saved him.
