Strangers Help Reunite Military Family with Their Lost Dog

When the Rowan family had to move from Texas to South Carolina, due to military re-assignment, they packed up everything and headed on a road trip for their move. However, along the way Winston, a seven-year-old wire terrier mix, accidentally got loose and lost.

The Rowans had stopped in Jackson, Miss., for a few nights and while they stayed  at a LaQuinta Inn off Interstate 55, the playful canine left their hotel room and let himself out the building.

Poncho went missing sometime between the three and five o’clock hours on this past Sunday afternoon in the Rapids, Wisconsin area.  Poncho’s family misses him very badly, especially Little Rorie Manke.  He’s so missed in fact, there has been a $1,000 reward offered up for the safe return of Poncho.

Dog Missing for Two Months Found in Abandoned House

For two months Joni Leviner from City of Dillon, South Carolina, searched for her missing two-year-old Cocker Spaniel named Chip, and during all that time, she never gave up hope her pet would be found alive.

The dog went missing in April when a contractor working in Leviner’s home, accidentally left the gate open. When the dog got lost, the pet owner was devastated but felt she needed to anything and everything to find her beloved four-legged friend. She went as far as hiring a pet detective from Lost Pet Professionals to help her locate her beloved Chip.

I-35 German Shepherd Gets Rescued and Adopted

On June 25, 2014, Dallas police officers chased an unusual fugitive down Interstate 35. The runaway was smart, hairy, and very fast on his four legs.

Commuters started calling authorities as early as 7:30 a.m. informing them of a German Shepherd running down I-35. Officer Charles Timmons and Sharifa Williams were dispatched to the scene to try to control and capture the canine, but the dog turned out to be too smart for its own good and the officers requested Animal Control Officer Eric Pogue as backup.

When Arlington Police Officers received various calls about a dangerous Pit bull roaming the streets they responded immediately. Thanks to their dangerous dog training classes, Sgt. Gary Carter and Officer Heather Gibson were prepared to deal with the “dangerous” pet, yet, when they met the dog, they realized the animal was not dangerous at all, he was just thirsty and tired.

When the police officers arrived at the last location where the white Pit bull had been seen, they clearly recognized the pet was dehydrated and needed help.

After Josie, a Border collie mix, managed to escape from a Culver City boarding facility almost two months ago, her human mom Lori Tritel has finally received the happy ending every family with a missing member, furry or not, hopes for.  A safe and healthy return home.
