Husky Stuck in Storm Drain Reunited with Owner

On January 8, 2014, an animal lover from San Diego found a female, Siberian husky stuck inside a storm drain. Authorities were called to assist with the pet’s rescue and Animal Services came to the dog’s aid. The canine was later reunited her with her owner.

City Mayor Saves Dog Trapped on Rocky Cliff

On October 21, 2014, a woman from Mallorca, Spain, was walking her dog around 10 p.m. near the Banyalbufar cliffs when her dog slipped and fell over a cliff. The pet owner called after her dog and searched the area hoping she would find him alive, but in the darkness of the night, the woman did not find her pet nor did she hear him bark. The dog owner gave up and thought she had forever lost her best friend.

Eight Grade Students Save Dog Stuck in Mud

On October 16, 2014, a group of 8th grade students from Bergman Academy, in Des Moines, Iowa, became heroes when they rescued a light colored dog trapped in mud. The teenagers were jogging around the drained Greenwood Pond as part of their gym class when they stumbled upon the pet in need.

The trapped dog wasn’t alone, he had a buddy with him who was standing guard and looking quite worried seeing his canine friend stuck helplessly in the muck.

Lost Dog flies over 900 Air Miles to Reunite with Family

No one will ever know how Philia (or Phelia), a lost dog from Austin, Texas, ended up in Illinois’s McHenry County Animal Control, but thanks to Lost Dog of Illinois (LDOI), Lost Dogs of Texas (LDOT), Delta Airlines, and Home Again microchip company, the travelling canine is back home.

Firefighters Free Dog Stuck in Drainage Pipe

A seven-year-old dog from Austin, Texas, chased a raccoon into a drainage pipe in Falconhead Golf Course and got the dog stuck in it for 18 hours. Luckily, the dog’s owner and golf course employees worked long hours until the pet was rescued.

On July 30, 2014, Darren Clark from Hollywood, Fla., was out walking his sister’s dog, India, when a man approached him and robbed him at gunpoint. The armed thief took Darren’s cellphone and the nine-year-old Yorkshire Terrier. Two days later, police officers found the pet roaming the streets. Thanks to the pet’s microchip, India was reunited with her owner.

Lost Dog Found Seven Years Later and 1,800 Miles Away from Home

Seven years ago, the unthinkable happened to Dinah Miller in Tyler, Texas. She lost her beloved Maltese dog named Reese. She searched and searched for her pet but after months of looking and not finding her dog, she simply gave up. This past July, Miller got the surprise of her life when an animal shelter in Tacoma, Wash., called to tell her they had her dog.

Community Reunite 9-Year-Old Boy with His Puppy

When Bear, a griffin/German spitz cross puppy, got lost two weeks ago, his owner, 9-year old Noel Wogan from Whangarei, New Zealand, was devastated. The puppy had been a gift from his mother, Donelle, who died this past May from a rare illness. Luckily, Wogan’s family and community came together to find the missing dog and reunite him with his young owner.
